So, first we had the “statement pant”, closely followed by the “statement skirt” et maintenant heading up the rear we have “mismatch dressing” and yes, for us mere mortals… it is as bad as it sounds. Exponents of this look include editor-at-large and creative consultant for Vogue Japan, Anna Dello Russo. Anna is in a league of her own when it comes to going out on a limb for fashion. The woman is positively couture personified!
Having seen a whole host of celebs parade about town from fashion show to fashion show in their expertly selected mismatched wares one cannot help but wonder if the only place you could sport such a look is at a high fashion show? I mean, I’m pretty certain I haven’t seen anyone rocking this look in the queue at the bank…
I think I could get on board with this look if it were truly about randomly picking out a selection of clothes and throwing them on your back before merrily bouncing out the door, but I suspect it is a far more studied imperfection that is required here and that to me just ain’t cool. What do you think, is this a trend for you? Bisous.

Add YoursI LOVE THIS BUT I DON’T QUITE KNOW HOW TO WORK IT. IT WOULD BE VERY EASY TO GO OVER THE TOP. LOVE ANNA THOUGH!
Not sure about this look. I love the statement pant as you can turn them up or down depending on how you feel but this is a bit “circus came to town” for me.
Anna is a living legend!
