A Converse Matter

I am having un petit problème saying au revoir to my old Converse All Star. I suspect they may have gone beyond the point of artfully “beaten up” and wandered unwittingly into the down-and-out town! I cannot help but feel there is a degree of perfection in their ragged appearance and as such I am loathe to consign them to the past. I am of the opinion they have at least six months left to shuffle on this earth. I have always been fastidious when it comes to sneaker hygiene and washed these beauties regularly hence zero odours. In a bid to end their torment I purchased a new yet comfortingly similar pair of high tops. It’s been two months and still no switch over…
