Mostly Lovin’: Glossier Soultion

“Skin Perfecter” Indeed!

I’ve been using Glossier’s Solution for two months or so and I have to confess… I couldn’t be happier with the results! I wanted to wait an adequate amount of time before writing a review and I feel two months provides enough time for any changes (good or bad) to occur in the skin.
So I’ve just sprung open my third bottle of the Solution which I use once a day in the evening before bed. I saturate a cotton pad as instructed sweeping across my face. I like to swill mouthwash for a minute whilst allowing the solution to begin working it’s magic and before adding anything else. I then follow with the Allies of Skin 1A Overnight Mask.

Together this duo has transformed my somewhat temperamental complexion. Gone are the monthly breakouts, random dry patches are now few and far between and the overall texture of my skin is much more refined and soft to the touch. All in all it’s a big thumbs up from me. x

Body Hero Perfecting Cream

I recently gave into the considerable hype and purchased Glossier Body Hero Daily Perfecting Cream and so far so silky! I have been assured this baby-pink emulsion promises to deliver four results; it perfects and enhance the look of skin, tightens and smooths, increases skin’s elasticity, and provides all-day hydration.
I am a fan of the subtle opalescent hue which could so easily have been overdone but manages to add a delicate sheen which is flattering to most skin tones. The baby-fresh scent is an added but entirely welcome bonus. So that’s a silky thumbs up from V! Bisous

Mostly Trying: Bardou Booster Brow

https://thebardou.com/

For reasons known only to the Lord himself, I was born with just the one eyebrow – that is to say I have half an eyebrow (if that) on either side. Thus, since I could firmly grip a pencil I have been “filling in the gaps” so to speak. I am happy to report that things have come along way since then. For instance, one is no longer required to purchase both colour and applicator separately in the new era of eyebrow boosters.

I had heard a lot of positive feedback regarding Bardou’s Booster Brow which combines filler, a brush and colour in one swoop. I have to admit, I was rather excited when I received the package but the excitement was short-lived. Firstly, the colour is not black/brown but quite clearly brown/brown. The applicator leaves a lot to be desired and is rather similar to an artist’s fine paint brush. I found the brush to be is messy, unrefined and quite simply sloppy.

Conversely, for precision and quick application on the go, I would highly recommend Rimmel London’s Proffesional Eyebrow Pencil. Well priced and well made it gets the job done in seconds. Those with more expensive tastes could opt for Glossier’s “Boy Brow” or Anatasia’s Perfect Brow

Sadly, I feel one would struggle to apply Bardou’s Booster Brow on the daily commute for instance without ending up resembling a close personal friend of Coco the Clown… Bisous
