New Week, Old Scent; Fracas by Robert Piguet

First launched in 1948 and then reissued in 1998 Fracas by Robert Piguet encapsulates Parisian style par excellence. As you may know, (no, then what have you been doing all this time?), I have an ever increasing love of the Tuberose accord. With top notes of jasmine, jonquil, gardenia, Bulgarian rose and orange flower and a base of sandalwood and musk, Fracas is a classically feminine floral scent with an edge. This is quite a “grown up” scent. Have you ever seen those grande dames of Paris in their Chanel two-piece coiffed to within an inch of their lives? Well this is their aroma so to speak, and if it’s good enough for them… x
